That sounds correct. But I would not describe every game to be a "landslide." Sometimes (in a two player game) you could win, and your opponent may only have one or two tiles. So the score in that example would be a small negative and postive number to each player. We usually dont "pick a number to play to," but decide from the beginning how many games we will play .... like a total of three or four games. And then after the last game is played, add-up all the scores for each game to determine who is the winner when comparing the grand totals.

But sometimes, as you describe, you could win one game with a huge ("landslide") score, but that doesnt mean that in the next game your opponent may turn-around and do the same to you. So then, the two scores will tend to balance or cancel each other out.
