I think you are on to something there, instead of turning 4 cards in for a star, turn them in for a worm hole. Have the old risk map populated with static armies and you randomly show up on a continent. After turning in the cards the wormhole is stable unless a player turns in 4 cards to collapse it or open their own. What do you think?
