M44 is a fun game, which can give to the occasional gamer the feel to play an advanced game, while giving to the experienced gamer something light but still engaging. I like a lot M44.
Have you shown Heroscape to him? I have a 6 out of 7 friends who have bought at least a master set after me showing the game to them :)
