You must take at least ONE Marine armed with a Bolter, and at least ONE Marine armed with a Heavy (or Extra-Heavy) Weapon, the rest is up to you.
Note: This limit doesn't include your Commander - he can carry whatever Commander Weapon(s) he deems necessary for the Mission!

As Pauli said, the XHW are quite slow, but they do pack a punch. However, if those XHW Marine(s) fall behind, it can slow the rest of your Squad quite significantly, or spread them far too thinly.

Any Marine Miniature can take up the Controls for the Tarantula, but he must drop his HW or XHW (if armed) for the rest of the Mission - and hence worth 5 Points to the Alien Player. Finally, if he abandons the Tarantula, for whatever reason, he will still have his trusty Bolter at his side...

Taking the Blood Angels with their Close Assault Blades kit makes them quite lethal in Attack, but they are still not immune to those nasty Orks in Hand to Hand (one of my favourite Alien tactics too!)
