There are two things I must do in Germany before dying.First, Essen. Your photos, boys, and those from other geeks posted under Geeklists all over the place leave me envious. Some day, some day....
Second, the Bayreuther Festspiele. Parsifal and the Tetralogy, specially. (If you don't like classical music perhaps you don't know what I'm talking about. The Festspiele is the annuel representation of Wagner operas at Bayreuth, in the theatre built according to Wagner's technical specifications. Some of the greatest performances ever have taken place there. I have several recordings of them, and it really is a pilgrimage for Wagner opera fans like me). This is harder to get, but I have a friend of mine working on it.
