Part the third and last...Fourth day - third day of Spiel.
I had reached my limit, I was full, but we had a whole day more at the fair. This day I took a lot more coffee breaks, and a little nap outside in the sun. While Spiel is a really great experience, it's also very intense and overwhelming, and I think my mind and body were ready to digest and recuperate, but with a few extra breaks, I made it through, and had a great time...
Every time I came back inside after a little fresh air the first thing I would notice was "the sea of voices", the wall of sound from the tens of thousands of people who were at the fair every day.
Here's a picture of a corner where several companies had their stash
We had walked by The Indie Games stand a couple of times, and this day we sat down for a game of Flash Point, with this nice fellow in the yellow shirt.
I bought it along with the 2nd story expansion, and another Indie game, the Resistance, which I've been wanting for a while. With this I got a little freebie, some manga characters cards.
Second game I played this day was a nice little card game called Jurassic, about dinosaur excavation, basically set collection with a few twists. I got a drawing in the game box lid from the game's artist, nice little extra game for Emma.
Last game of the day was Hooyah, a game about navy seals, with an extra bonus mission, dog tag and t-shirt.
Tired, loaded with games, satisfied and full, we said goodbye to Spiel and 3 wonderfull and intense days...
Loot after day 3:
The next day we left for home. Even though this was the final day of the fair, and we had tickets for it, we had another looong drive ahead of us, and had to be at work the next day, and I don't really think any of us needed another day...
We had some laughs on the way with the Darth Vader voice on Jesper's gps, which constantly told us to " Stay in formation," and found our "Lack of faith disturbing!" while also being generally informative and helpfull...
We finished the trip with a little coffee debriefing at my place.
I'll definitely go another time, and hope to meet a lot more of you guys and gals there.
