Also, there's the 2 "Ring Bearer Move One Towards Corruption" tiles and the "One Hobbit Moves Two Towards Corruption Or Sauron Moves One" tile. Of these 3, it seems typical that certainly 1, and often 2 will get drawn, which accounts for about 2 hobbit damage per scenario.

I think getting two of them means either A) you're unlucky or B) spending too long on a scenario board. I mostly play 2 or 3 hobbits games, but going over my logs, I think the ideal number of tiles drawn would be 8 or less per scenario. Some, like Helm's Deep, I'll pull out all the stops if it looks like possible to finish the main Activity line before any Events are drawn.

One of my better runs, with base + Battlefields went very smoothly:

Moria Main Activity line completed after 9 Event tiles.
Helm's Deep Main Activity line completed after 4 Event tiles.
Shelob's Lair Main Activity line completed after 6 Event tiles.
Mordor Main Activity line completed after 5 Event tiles.
(only 2 of the possible 24 Events were triggered, meaning Sundials drawn)

That would very much what I would want to see on average, but of course, that's not going to happen  .
